Largest Solar Panel Array at any Chicago K-12 School Installed

Climate Cycle is excited to announce that the largest solar panel array installation at any Chicago area K-12 school has now been installed! Awarded by Climate Cycle in our 2012 grant cycle, this is the third set of panels to grace the southeastern facing wall of Curie Metro High School.

This brings the total to 57 panels with an output of 11kWh.

The Curie community’s commitment to catalyzing environmental education in the classroom and developing young leaders in sustainability has always been strong, and continues to grow exponentially. Go Condors!

If you’re taking the CTA Orange Line to Midway Airport, look out the window between the Kedzie and Pulaski stops and you can see the panels marching across the side of the building.
